If you try to create a Facebook account only by mentioning the First Name and not the Last Name then you might get an error asking you to enter the Last Name. Even if you create an account with both names and afterward try to change it to a single name account by visiting account settings, it’s not gonna work. Then you might ask how? Well, the only language in which Facebook accepts a single name account is Bahasa Indonesia. We will be using a Proxy trick to get a Single Name Account on Facebook. Hide Last Name on Facebook
There are two methods that you can use to remove the last name from your Name on Facebook. The first is about using a Proxy and then the second one is without using any proxy. So, let’s see what are the steps.
1. Create a Single Name Facebook Account without Proxy
To use the first method, you will need to do some Web Browser level configurations. That is, you need to set and configure a custom Proxy settings on your Web browser. If you don’t want to set Proxy settings and go through all these geeky settings, then I will recommend you to go with the second method, where we will be using ready to go extensions. So, choose the one that you feel is simple for you.
First of all, go to your respective browser’s proxy settings and change the settings that of Indonesia
Now that you have changed the Proxy settings and everything is tuned. let’s open Facebook and start the work.
Go to Facebook and Login to your AccountClick on Settings and Select the Language tab
By default it may be English, now change it to Bahasa Indonesia
The primary language will now be changed to Bahasa Indonesia. So it will be a little difficult for you to figure out. But, don’t worry, I got you covered.
From the top click on the small arrow mark and click on the option called Pengaturan which will open up the Facebook Settings page.
Now, you will be taken to the general settings page. Click on the “Sunting” button next to “Nama” tab which is the Edit Name button.
New windows will appear and remove your last name from the respective column.

The last name tab is as “Belakang” in the settings page.Click on “Tenjau Perubahan” and save the settings.
Once you are done in changing the name and saved the settings go to the drop-down menu choose the Language and change it back English or the language you prefer to use Facebook in. 2. Hide Last Name on Facebook with Proxy
In the above method, we used proxy settings of Indonesia to tune into their location and change language to Bahasa Indonesia. After which, we hid the last name. Now, in this method, we will be using VPN Extensions/Plugins to change to Indonesia Proxy and change our account into a single name Facebook account. For this method, you will first have to download a VPN Extension to your Browser. You can use any one of your choices. For this tutorial, I will be using DotVPN, which is free and available for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. To get Indonesia proxy for free, you can use Hola VPN. Download for your browser using the link below. Hola for Chrome Hola for Firefox After you are done downloading the VPN, create an Account if it asks for it. And then change the server location to Indonesian Place. If you can’t find Indonesian server in the particular VPN that you are using then you can try some other alternatives as well. All we want is the Indonesian Server Proxy. After that follow the same steps that as mentioned in the first method.

3. How to make Single Name Facebook Account using Mobile version of FB
In this method, we will see how we can make a single name facebook account or hide the last name in facebook with the help of the mobile version of the Facebook site. If you not already know, there exist different versions for different platforms. Facebook.com is for regular users using Computers and Laptops and m.facebook.com is for smartphones and Tablets while mbasic.facebook.com is for low-end devices and browser which has no support for Javascripts and other modern scripting languages. In this tutorial, we will be using the m.facebook.com version to get the job done.
First of all, Open a Web Browser on your device and then go to the Mobile version of facebook, ie https://m.facebook.com/Type in your Username and Password and then log in to your Facebook account.Now scroll down a little bit and at the footer, you will find an option called “Settings & Privacy“. Just click on this option
Go to Languages option and select the Language as “Tamil”
Select Language: Tamil
Go back to the home screen and then once again click on Settings & Privacy. After that click on General SettingsNow click on the Edit button next to your NameType your First Name in the First Box and leave the Last Name box empty.Click on Review Change button and Save the settings.
You might be asked to complete a code verification or type your Facebook Account Password to confirm the changes.
